Racism has publicly shown it’s sharp claw
Along with the sister mysongony claw
I’m sure there’s a homophobic claw in there
There are a whole lot of unshielded claws
Anger is not a pretty thing
Especially when it is directed first at at those least able
to defend themselves
But isn’t that the way it’s always done
Easy to pick off the weak first
We seem to be in for a ride full of rattling claws
Waiting to see who will get clawed first
Who will get clawed second
And third
While some citizens continue to clamor for blood
Never realizing, that once the claws are unleashed
They will eventually come for you
We can’t all be white, male and straight
